DESCRIPTION
Future Climate Souvenirs is a platform for creating engaging and inventive artifacts that provoke awareness and discussion of the climate crisis through humor and speculation rather than doomsday scenarios.
In this edition Chicagoans imagine how they might adapt their infrastructure and create new nature reserves, regenerative schemes and eco-tourist sites in response to predicted atmospheric changes and ecological impacts.
This book was published on the occasion of the 6th Chicago Architecture Biennial (CAB) entitled Shift: Architecture in Times of Radical Change in September 2025 to accompany a kiosk and performance lecture vehicle that displays speculative souvenirs and interactive educational materials.
